SLOW PLAY

If every player took 30 seconds less to play every hole.... YOUR group's round time would be reduced by 36 minutes!!

Guidelines for reducing your playing time.

1.  Shorter hitters hit first.

2.  If you think your shot may not be found.. declare it and play a provisional.

3.  While waiting to play, other players should move to their ball if out of harms way.

4.  Keep your eye on the ball and its line especially when it leaves the fairway.

5.  Be aware of your walking pace to each shot.

6.  On the greens don't wait until it's your turn  to start considering length, line, contours etc.

7.  Players off the green should play first even if closer to the hole.

8.  Do you stand over your shot or putt for too long?

9.  The player with the "honour" should move off immediately to tee off and then mark their card.

10. Score the hole on the next tee whilst waiting for your turn to tee off.

11. If the group behind are continually waiting on you...it's a fair assumption that YOUR GROUP may be slow.... so be courteous and call them through, if clear space is ahead.

REMEMBER: YOUR place in the field is immediately behind the group in front, not in front of the group behind.
